Billing Information – Effective 1st July 2026
Our consultation fees are based on the total time your GP spends managing your care. This includes not only the time spent with you during your appointment—whether in person or over the phone—but also the time required to review your file beforehand, document your consultation afterward, and manage any related tasks such as reviewing specialist correspondence, referrals, and test results.
Medicare rebates are calculated differently and typically only apply to the time spent directly with your GP. After your consultation, the appropriate Medicare item will be applied based on the total time and nature of the service, which means your out-of-pocket cost (gap) may vary.
We aim to be transparent and fair in our billing, and we appreciate your understanding.
Discounts & Bulk Billing
- Children under 12: Bulk billed for GP consults (treatment room fees may apply).
- DVA Gold Card holders: Bulk billed.
- Discounted fees apply to:
- Patients aged 12–15
- Patients 16+ with a valid student ID
- Concession card holders (Health Care Card, Pension Card, Commonwealth Seniors Health Card)
Note: Bulk billing and reduced fees are not available on Saturdays due to higher operating costs, and a $10 surcharge applies.
Payment of fees is required in full on the day of consultation and can be made by Cash, EFTPOS and Credit Card. The Practice has facilities to enable immediate refund of Medicare Rebates.
Note: All consultation items include a small admin fee which covers operational expenses for the Practice.

Repeat Prescriptions (No Appointment Needed)
For eligible medications, you can request a repeat prescription without a consultation via our online service
- Fee: $30, payable before the script is issued.
- No Medicare rebate is available for this service.
Bulk billing and discounts do not apply.
Overseas Students & Visitors
We welcome overseas students and visitors with valid private health insurance. If you are not covered by Medicare but have an eligible health fund, we can process your claim on-site.
- The same fee schedule applies as listed above.
- Children under 12 are bulk billed.
- Please check with reception for accepted health funds.

Medicare Safety Net
The Medicare Safety Net helps reduce your out-of-pocket costs for out-of-hospital services, such as GP visits, specialist appointments, and tests like blood work or scans. Once your out-of-pocket expenses reach a certain threshold within a calendar year, Medicare will increase your rebate for eligible services.
- Individuals with no dependants are automatically registered.
- Couples and families must register once to combine their medical costs and reach the threshold faster.
There are different thresholds depending on your circumstances (e.g. concession card holders, families receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A). Once reached, Medicare may cover up to 80% of your out-of-pocket costs, or more in some cases.
