Dr Nevin Gabra is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and joined Pasadena Medical in 2022. Prior to entering general practice, she worked extensively in Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, bringing broad clinical experience and strong skills in managing acute and complex presentations.
Dr Gabra enjoys the diversity of general practice and has a particular interest in women’s health and minor procedures, including Implanon and IUD insertions, iron infusions, skin checks and skin cancer screening. She takes a compassionate, thorough and patient-centred approach to care.
As a Principal GP and GP Supervisor, Dr Gabra is passionate about medical education, mentoring and supporting the development of future GPs. She provides practical, approachable supervision and enjoys helping registrars build clinical confidence, develop procedural skills and transition from hospital-based medicine to comprehensive general practice.
Dr Gabra is also an RACGP Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) Examiner, contributing to the assessment of doctors undertaking the RACGP Fellowship pathway. In this role, she assesses candidates’ clinical knowledge and proficiency alongside fellow RACGP examiners. This role reflects her commitment to medical education, clinical assessment and maintaining high standards within general practice.
Her broad clinical background, combined with her experience in GP supervision, clinical assessment and medical education, provides registrars with valuable exposure to acute care, procedural medicine, women’s health and complex presentations. Her supportive teaching style encourages registrars to progressively develop independence, clinical reasoning and their own areas of clinical interest.
